Family Fancy Dress Fun Run

Saturday 8th August 2026 | 12.30pm 1km family-friendly course

Join us for a colourful, fun-filled Fancy Dress Fun Run as part of our Bridport Leisure Centre Open Day!

Whether you come dressed as a superhero, princess, pirate, animal or anything else, this event is perfect for all ages and abilities. Enjoy challenges along the route, compete for best costume prizes, and soak up the fantastic community atmosphere.

Once registered, you’ll receive a sponsor form, or you can use the link to our Just Giving page to raise funds online. There will be a prize for the family that raises the most sponsorship money, plus certificates for all finishers.

Every step helps support our charity leisure centre and the creation of new Family, Accessible & LGBTQ+ Friendly Changing Facilities at the swimming pool.

Hyrox Simulations are the ultimate way to experience the thrill of a full HYROX fitness race in a local, supportive environment.

Combining 8 × 1km runs with 8 functional workout stations (sled push, burpee broad jumps, rowing, ski erg, sandbag lunges, wall balls and more), each simulation mirrors the exact format, intensity and flow of an official HYROX race. Whether you’re training for your first HYROX event, preparing for a big race, or simply looking for a tough and motivating challenge, our simulations give you the perfect opportunity to test your pacing, transitions, and mental strength under race-like conditions.

Food & Local Stalls

We’re inviting local clubs, groups, and businesses to run a stall at the event!

This is a great opportunity to showcase what you offer, promote your activities, and connect with hundreds of local people.

No set stall fee – as a Charitable Trust, we’d be very grateful for any donation you can make. All proceeds will go towards our major project this year: New Family / Accessible Changing Facilities for the Swimming Pool

Bake Sale & Raffle

We need your help to make this part of the day a big success!

Bake Sale We’re warmly inviting local people to contribute homemade cakes, biscuits, buns, or other treats for the bake sale on the day. Every donation helps us raise vital funds.

Raffle We’re looking for prize donations for our raffle from both local people and businesses. Whether it’s a voucher, experience, product, service, or any other great prize, every contribution is hugely appreciated.

All money raised from the Bake Sale and Raffle will go directly towards our goal of creating brand new Wetside Family/Accessible Changing Facilities for the swimming pool.
